Posted - 03/27/2013 : 12:43:55 We have received a lot of support email about Fleury's win last night and how he did not receive credit for the shut out. Here is why....
Because Fleury did not complete the game and shared net minding duties with Vokoun he is not credited with the shut out. When two goaltenders share in a team`s shut out neither is awarded the individual shut out credit; only the team itself is awarded the shut out statistically.
This is supported on NHL.com on each player`s bio page.
Fleury - http://www.nhl.com/ice/player.htm?id=8470594 Vokoun - http://www.nhl.com/ice/player.htm?id=8460712
So the stats are correct.

Posted - 03/27/2013 : 13:28:33 Admin.....As annoying as this is, having this questioned pretty much EVERY time there is a shared shut out, i suppose it's a good thing for the site. It must mean that there's high traffic and a lot of new users constantly to the site! It certainly can't be the regulars who've seen this happen and read about it in the threads time and time again!
