Just curious which players who have started slow you think will turn it around. Specifically Marleau, Cheechoo, Carle(notice a theme here?), Boumeester, Staal, Gonchar etc....

Marleau got 5 points in 3 games against, Phoenix possibly a start of a streak? I hope so.

Marleu and Thronton are really starting to pick it up now.

I took a snap shot of the top scoreers after ten games. Half way through the season, and at the end of the season I am going to compare the stats.

For some players it may look like they had a slow start, but it is the fast starters that make it look that way...

I don't necessarily agree with everything I say.

ah Malik, you've tricked another person into thinking you are offensive threat because of that goal from what, 2 years ago now?

I had Cory Murphy on my list and I was staring at it all draft night. Instead i took Marek Malik
MSC Posted - 11/11/2007 : 19:58:35
Murphy's been gone for weeks.

The whole team of San Jose hasn't really been going. LA is really flying under the radar, there in one of the top spots for there division. Gomez,Drury and Jagr are players who have started slow. It sucks that all of them are on the same team. But once the NYR start going they'll be one of the best.

If you wanna take an unpicked guy, take murphy, a rookie defenceman for Florida, he's amazing.

After playing in the NHL, it's hard to watch hockey games.

I decided to offer Semin and Perry to another guy in the pool for Backstrom (G). I wouldn't take this trade myself I don't think but he's in last place and could be looking for somthing to kick start his team. The plan would be for me to take either Horton or Morrow off of waivers if he accepts the trade.

Lol its too tough to call hey? I think im gonna wait. I can trade for Kane but im still not confident kane is gonna be racking up these kind of points all season.
MSC Posted - 11/03/2007 : 10:30:31
Well I have Semin also, I've been reluctanly holding on to him. I have the opportunity to drop him and pick up Marleau another slow starter but at least he's injury free. I can't decide what to do myself so I can't really give you any advice on the subject.
Guest5326 Posted - 11/03/2007 : 10:12:05
Straka and semin are the two bottom guys in my pool they have both had slow starts and injuries but i need to trade one to have any hopes in my pool.

which one do you guys think should go? and which one will pick it up?
MSC Posted - 11/03/2007 : 09:02:37
I agree, Jagr has always started slow and builds up momentum as the season wears on. I think people have to high of expectations for Gomez and Drury. Neither of them are huge point guys but they both are very talented and clutch hockey players who will be there when you need them.
Beans15 Posted - 11/03/2007 : 08:29:56
All of New York will break out. Remember these are highly talented, top tier talents that have just started playing together. That team was built by Sather (especially with the pick ups of Drury and Gomez) to be a deep running play off team. I would not be surprised if they get into the playoffs as an away seed, but stomp on people.

Gomez/Drury/Jagr, basically all of the Rangers have started slow, but I do think they will hit their stride and rock. If you if Gomez gets 10 points in the then 11-13 games, he's right at his career average.

Wayne or Bobby?? How about both!!!
MSC Posted - 11/02/2007 : 23:57:20
There's no controversies over who has and hasn't had a slow start. The numbers don't lie. The real question is who of the slow starters will break out of their slump?
Senators315 Posted - 11/02/2007 : 22:19:26
i definetly say gomez or marleau. both have been busts so far.
MSC Posted - 11/02/2007 : 20:22:41
Gonchar has started to pick it up, still has that negative plus minus I believe though.
pensfan17 Posted - 11/02/2007 : 18:09:01
scott hartnell has only two points after signing with philly for over 5 million
Guest2919 Posted - 11/02/2007 : 17:28:15
gomez has been the biggest disapointment, 4 or 5 points and 10 mill a season? and people said penner ws over paid
nashvillepreds Posted - 11/02/2007 : 15:56:04

I'm not to concerned about Jagr, he's been known for his slow starts. He has to much talent around him now for that to last. Hossa though, I think he might end up having a real off season.
I'm really contemplating dropping Marleau from one of my teams. I've already dropped J. Staal for Antropov. I hate myself for that.
Guest4132 Posted - 11/01/2007 : 00:10:11
Biggest ones that come to mind are Brodeur, Luongo, Jagr, and Hossa. Of course those are just some of the bigger names.
