If you are looking for theses players in our database please read this:

Andre Kostitsyn = Andre Kastsitsyn
Sergei Kostitsyn = Siarhei Kastsitsyn

From the start of the season the NHL has flip-flopped on the spelling of their names. So we decided to stick with this version until they get it straight.

For example in the NHL’s roster and game sheets they use KASTSITSYN (same as us): http://www.nhl.com/scores/htmlreports/20072008/ES020609.HTM

And for Andrei on the player’s bio page and his jersey they use KOSTITSYN: http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?page=PlayerDetail&playerId=8470603&service=page

So for this regular season please use KASTSITSYN when setting up your pool as we tally his points under that name. Thanks!

OK - So the switch is complete. You can now find both brothers under KOSTITSYN.

No we will do the math on our end so that you don't see any disruption.

If you've already set your playoff teams with the "Kas" editions, will the swap to KOS interfere at all?

/just doin my "head's up" check.

There is no debate which one the NHL uses on his jersey (we have known for several months) We decided to finish out the regular season with Kastsitsyn rather than switch and confuse the issue further. And tomorrow we will switch it over permanently for the playoffs (unless of course the NHL changes it yet again)

It's KOTSitsyn.

Just wanted to remind everyone of this. The system will be updated to Kostitsyn within the next couple days but for now continue to use KASTSITSYN

Thanks!

I think Admin got it right since on the back of their jerseys it does say Kostitsyn and almost every website I check does indeed say KOstitsyn.

I am guessing that the second spelling of their names is the one of their native language?
