Posted - 11/18/2008 : 13:26:59 That has to be the highest Zherdev was drafted this year. I was talking to his mother a few weeks ago and even she passed up on him in the 5th round. |

Posted - 11/18/2008 : 11:58:03 My snake draft was:
1. Crosby 2. Ovechkin 3. Iginla 4. Thornton 5. Datsyuk 6. Zetterberg 7. Zherdev 8. Malkin (me)
8. Nabakov (me)
On the subsequent way back down, my double picks 3 and 4 were:
Kipprusoff + Briere (whom I have now switched with Stastny). |

I would think that would be most people's top 15. Maybe not in this specific order.
almost exactly the same as my snake draft |

Posted - 10/16/2008 : 23:40:48 1. Ovechkin 2. Malkin 3. Crosby 4. B. Richards 5. Datsyuk 6. Thornton 7. Spezza (My pick) 8. Iginla 9. Hossa 10. Zetterberg 11. Kovalchuk 12. Nabokov
The reason Malkin went second here is because the guy picking had Crosby last year, so he said no to Crosby haha. The guy in 4 who picked Richards don't ask me I have no clue what he was thinking.
Points were as follows: 1 pt. per goal, 1 pt. per assist (goalies and players) Goalie win is 2 pts., shutout is an additional 5 |

Posted - 10/16/2008 : 14:49:51 Most of mine are rotisserie (spelling?), makes things a bit trickier. Plus/Minus, Goals, Assists, PIM, PPG,PPA, SHG, SHA, Shots, GWG plus goalie stats rounding it out. If you just take the guy who you think will score the most points chances are you'll lose. |

Posted - 10/16/2008 : 14:45:45 To clarify, my pool is 10 stakes, 1 goalies, and a sleeper. Bottom point getter doesn't count. Straight points. Goals and assists worth 1 each, 2 points for a goalie win, and 2 more for a goalie shut out.
That being said, Phaneuf or Lidstrom in the first round would be nearly a waste.
Malkin stayed in the middle of the first round because most of the people I draft figure that an healthy Crosby will take some of the minutes away from Malkin which one would think will drop the point total.

Posted - 10/16/2008 : 14:34:13 I found Malkin was going 3rd in just about all my drafts. Lidstrom was top 10 in all and Phaneuf cracked top 15 in a couple. Also because of depth at center Zetterburg usually went ahead of Datsyuk. |

Posted - 10/15/2008 : 20:38:35 How about some guy took Avery second round in my pool (All Points, no PIMS) just to be a goon lol
