Posted - 04/13/2009 : 15:45:18 Got Parise and Elias in the 13th and 14th spot of a 7-man pool. I picked 7th and won the pool by 22 points. Someone also got Jeff Carter in the 12th round. He and Parise were the best late round steals. I also got Antropov in round 18. Pays to not have any Toronto fans in our pool. |

Martin Havlat, year after year he continues to get hurt but I had a good feeling and took him in the 17 of 19 rounds in my pool. he has 68 points, well ahead of any1 takin in that round. |

Posted - 03/28/2009 : 09:42:24 Martin Havlat...I've worn out a few Havlat voodoo dolls over the years. He has always produced but his injury record is brutal. With his next game he ties his all time season high for GP's. |

Posted - 03/28/2009 : 08:44:51 Picked up these three: 9th round: Elias 10th round: Marleau 11th round: Gagne
This was a 12 person draft. Now if only my 1st and 2nd round picks would do as well... |

Posted - 03/28/2009 : 08:04:39 Carter and Parise both weren't picked that early in my pool and are both having great seasons |

Posted - 03/28/2009 : 04:33:16 I picked up Mike Green..last year. I actually had a close eye on him for about 3 years and counting..but i didnt expect him to produce THIS MUCH! And this year I picked up Langenbrunner. Both players from the waivers. |

Posted - 03/27/2009 : 22:56:23 Gagne and Marleau. I got them in the 6th and 8th round in a 14 man draft, and they are my top 2 point getters. I wouldve had other players ahead of them but had at one point 4 or 5 out of 9 guys injured and have managed to stay in third. |

Posted - 03/27/2009 : 12:04:47 How are people still underestimating Backstrom? |
Guest4744 |
Posted - 03/27/2009 : 11:30:58 Nik Backstrom Nik Kronwall and Cam Ward
We have a salary cap, & we need to pick a rookie, i got the last picks for rookies and got Kyle Okposo, I didn't think he'd have close to 33 points |

Posted - 03/27/2009 : 07:54:53 Steve Mason last overall in a 12 man pool. More of a breakout than a sleeper though. And Ryder has been a decent pickup (pool counts gwg).

Posted - 03/27/2009 : 05:48:09 Elias has been hit or miss for a while, that's probably why he was written off by a lot of people. His stat's from the 2000-01 season are a roller coaster, 96, 61, 57, 81, 45 (injury season), 69, 55, 77 (current). Those 3 low point totals in a row pushed him way down everyone's draft list.
In my pool Rob Blake went very late (no one thought the old guy would be this good), and Havlat went late (but that might not be as much a sleeper as an injury risk) |

Posted - 03/26/2009 : 19:21:38 Patrick Elias. I snagged him in the 6th round of a 15 person draft, so that's like between the 75th and 90th pick.
I picked a 2nd team for a guy who couldn't show up and I got him Marleau in the 4th round. I snagged him as soon as I figured people were thinking about him.
Players like Marleau and Elias are not going have 2 bad seasons back to back. |

Posted - 03/26/2009 : 18:39:23 haha I got Marleau too! He has saved me too! I also picked up Cheechoo hoping for a turn-around. That pick was not so good lol.
Mike Richards was also a sweet pickup, no one will pass him by next year! |

Posted - 03/26/2009 : 18:07:52 Patrick Marleau. Has one bad season and everyone writes him off. I picked him up with the last pick in a 9 person draft. Got a lot of people laughing and saying I'd be lucky to get 50 points out of him. |

Posted - 03/26/2009 : 17:31:52 Mine had to be Nicklas Backstrom (of Washington). No one really picked up on him, the four other guys in my pool snagged Green, Ovechkin and Semin, but overlooked Backstrom. To date, he's put up 77 points for me and is in second for my fantasy team, behind Thornton. |
