I have Malkin, E.Staal, Briere + Mcdonald hurt, out of 12 forwards how sad is that! and i thought i went with injury-prone forwards ( except Briere). Just goes to show u there is no such thing...

My apologies on this, i think i came off a little harsh. I have NO PROBLEM with the box style pools and i do understand that it was not specified in the question. All i was trying to say was that as everyone jumps on board showing who they have injured, i see it as sort of showing your bad luck. Well, in a box style pool, i'm guessing if you have Malkin out, so do 95% of the people in your pool so it's not so bad. Know what i mean? Regardless, i worded it poorly and apologize for it.
BTW, i'm in 2 box style pools myself (leading 1 ) so i def wasn't belittling that style of pool by any means!

Here is my team, as you guys will know red is injuries then points is in blue and round average is green and round i picked is black
I'm just hoping that Hossa and Bouchard get's back, cause in my pool we can cut 3 players, I was hoping that I would cut brunnstrom mueller and either whitney or enstrom but with all of thess injuries i may have to use these players which would suck. I'm still in the thick of things though i'm 6 out of 7 but then only 16 points out of 2nd place. The 1st person is about 50 points ahead of 2nd.

my keeper league has a 30 dollar salary cap and we auction the players and i drafted malkin, ovieckin and kovalchuck as rookies after the 2nd year in our league guys prices start going up $1 each year. so yes it is possible to have those 3 on 1 team. |

My draft was 10 teams, snake draft, 6 forwards, 3 defence and 2 goalies.
Guy on my team has 5 injured:
Miikka Kiprusoff - Sick DTD
Ilya Kovalchuk - Broken Foot IR
Daniel Sedin - Broken Foot IR
David Booth - Concussion IR
Patrick Elias - Groin IR
I have not had an injury yet either than Ovechkin. |

I don't think that Philly will do as good with lots of injuries. Here is the list:
Mike Rathje - IR, Will miss the entire season - hip/back
Simon Gagne - IR, Will miss 6-8 weeks - Abdominal/Hernia surgery
Daniel Briere - DTD - Strained right groin
Daniel Carcillo - DTD - Flu-like symptoms
Aaron Asham - DTD - Flu-like symptoms
Matthew Carle - DTD - Flu-like symptoms
Ryan Parent - Will miss 1 week - Groin
These are all injuries on Philly, think thats alot, I think they will not be as good as they thought they would be. Some other teams wont be looking good either with injuies like Edmonton and Detroit.

here is my team ... its an 18 man team, u have to have 12 active forwards, 4 active D, and 2 goalies. You also draft reserve players that you could change every two weeks if some one was to get hurt. it was a snake draft with 7 guys.

I would and i am going to drop Briere. I had him last season and again this season. His groin is not getting better, and even if it does...philly is to deep up front. he won't get the ice time Briere is used too.

I have 6 out of 16. Malkin, Spezza, Elias, Arnott, Horcoff, Lucic and Kessel just got back.
But - and I'm sure that many of your have already pointed this out - a full 25% of the league is out right now. Don't worry about it. There's lots of hockey left to be played, and you don't really think that Kopitar is going to run away with the scoring title, do you?

Okay, i'm gonna echo MSC's thoughts. What kinda pools do you guys go in and how do i find these???
Okay, okay 6815, i figured it out, and please tell me i'm right. It's a "pick one guy from each box" pool. Simply has to be! No freakin' way ANYONE can have Ovie and Malkin unless it's as MSC said, you and your dad, or it's a "box" pool in which case, the other guys, prob all of them, have similar injuries, especially Ovie and Malkin. Oh, and whoever didn't put those two in the same box is an idiot.
2804.... When you say keeper league, i think of a league you do year to year and "keep" your guys. Are you referring to a pool where you have no chance to drop a guy or make a trade? Cuz if you're talking about the year to year one, i wanna know how the heck you ended up with the big 2? They were drafted the same year into the NHL and you got'em both? Is this another son 'n pop pool?

the only thing holding me in first is my goaltending (Lundqvist, Fleury) and a few surprises like B. Richards, Hemsky etc.
Not that Staal was doing anything anyway... Needless to say i wasn't upset to see Ovechkin go down.

haha man thats some pretty bad luck, but not as bad as one of my friends in my pool. he has 7 injured players. thats right 7. malkin, toews, gagne, filitov, markov, hossa and elias.
