Posted - 01/15/2007 : 12:23:38 The Flames are up against the Predators tonight. The Flames have been rolling again lately but it has been mostly divisional wins against teams that have been arguably mediocre. Tonight they face the red hot Nashville Predators who are 1st in the Central and tied for 2nd in the league. This should give them an idea of where they stand in the conference and let them know what their real chances are in the playoffs. It will be tough without Iginla but it will give them a chance to demonstrate their depth.

Posted - 01/16/2007 : 11:59:09 Ya, too bad. But like I said, it was a test. Obviously they need some work. The 5th goal by Nashville was an empty netter so at least the Flames were in it. They had the lead for while too. Throw Iggy back in the line up and they may have faired better. You all know I'm a big fan but I'm pragmatic too. This team is good and they are gelling, but I think they should bring in a sniper before the deadline. Forsberg anyone? I'd take that risk. I'm not sure who they'd give up though. I'll think about that.... |

Posted - 01/15/2007 : 16:18:31 I dont think they've been lucky. they have been in charge for most of the wins. it's a good team but they had a bad begining of the season. Whatever the outcome is tonight it will be a FAST game! |
