The Calgary Flames dealt away d-man Andrew Ference and forward Chuck Kobasew to Boston last night. In return they picked up forward Wayne Primeau and d-man Brad Stuart.

I'm surprised, I thought that the Flames would stand pat after the Conroy trade. It's not a big trade but could be interesting. |

This couldn't have been for any other reason than to shake the teams up. They traded an eye for an eye. Yet I know what Sutter is doing:
First Kiprusoff, now Stuart and Primeau. Sutter is seeing the advantages in picking up ex-Sharks because that might be their only ticket to success  |
