Posted - 10/26/2011 : 11:50:18 I am a huge flames fan, and i deffinatly do not think the flames will make it. we are on the same path as edmonton, were going to have a couple years at or near rock bottom, grab some young talent and then take a few more years to develop the team around it. the best thing the flames can do is trade Iggy, he deserves it. He's carried the team for many years and the least we can do for the guy is put him on a team with a real chance to win the cup. trading him now, while hes still worth something is the right move, maybe we could pick up some draft picks and cut some cap space. the biggest problem with that move however is the fact that the flames will have no real leaders on the team anymore, yea and 'A' can step up, but there are no candidates that even come close to filling iggys shoes. I find myself wondering if trading regher was really the best move... iggys getting older and he would have been our new leader. sadly were doomed |
