The Oilers should have kept Georges Laraques he not only is a great enforcer and is very good at getting momentum by winning fights but he has 16 points the only Oilers that are beating him in points are Sykora,Torres,Stoll,Hemsky and Smyth.I want to know what you guys think the Oilers should have done with Laraque

That was nearly seven years ago. Laraque is definately a great team player though. I think every team would want him for a check line, or a bodygaurd type role.

Being a die-hard Oilers fan I agree that he lost his purpose here. Ever since he started doing that radio stuff here in Edmonton it seemed like Hockey was second to the community stuff he did. I am happy he is successful in Phoenix, and the reason he is doing well is the increased ice time coupled with the fact I think he has put hockey as a priority again. He's getting almost twice as much ice time as he did last year. He wouldn't have fit well with the Oilers this year so it is better for both sides.

i agree with lyall,

I couldn't be happier. He is gettin more points in Phoenix beacuse now he has more to prove. He is an aswomse fighter & can get his team going. But in Edmonton he was more like a team mascot than a player. I'm gald for him & for the Oilers that he is gone.

Oilers totally should have kept him he is a great 4th liner who can build some momentum as 8985 said it suprises me that he has 16 points though
