Posted - 02/07/2007 : 23:24:51 But the idea of my4th line is hard hitters. Not a scoring line, but a tough checking line. |

Posted - 02/07/2007 : 21:21:04 But your 4th line is very slow. I agree with your first three, but the fouth should be
Winchester-Reasoner-Moreau
With Thorenson and Peterson in the mix depending on the team. I like Winchester more that Stortini as at least Winchester can skate a bit and has some hands. |

Posted - 02/06/2007 : 21:27:35 I've changed my minde on how the lines should be set. It should be:
Smyth-Horcoff-Hemsky Torres-Stoll-Pisani Sykora-Nedved-Lupul Winchester-Moreau-Stortini
That's a tough looking 4th line. |

Yeah, we get screwed in that deal. They can have Lupul but keep Torres. Who else can hit like him? |

Posted - 01/25/2007 : 18:37:17 Someone will definitely be gone by trade deadline for another defenceman, so that will free up room for Moreau. They won't be sending him anywhere because he just signed a 4-year contract.

Posted - 01/24/2007 : 21:14:20 Why is Stoll out? He didn't miss any games after breaking his nose in the game against the ducks. Did I miss something? |

Posted - 01/21/2007 : 20:12:24 Yeah, that's all I saw too. And hell, even if he's only good on the power play we need that. Not to mention a good shoot out guy. |

Posted - 01/21/2007 : 20:09:56 oh well i've never seen Brodziak play and i don't keep track of those statistics. But when i saw Schremp play a couple of pre-season gaems he looked pretty good not to mention those moves in the shootout. |

Posted - 01/21/2007 : 14:33:29 Robbie Schremp??? C'mon people. He is great on the power play, but other than that he is a defensive liability. He is lazy and only likes to play offence. He has played in Wilkes-Barrie all year and has 7 goals and 18 assits for 25 points in 37 games and has a plus/minus of 0. What about a guy like Kyle Brodziak? He has played 41 games on the same team as Schremp and has 16 goals and 21 assists for 37 points and is +10.
Schremp is so far behind on the depth chart, it's not even funny. Think about the guys that are the top 10 on the Oiler roster. Smyth, Horcoff, Lupal, Hemsky, Nedved, Sykora, Stoll, Torres, Pisani, and Reasoner. That leaves two spots for Thorenson, Peterson, Winchester, Pouliot, Jacques. Also, Mihkinov has played a few games, and there is Schremp and Brodziak on the farm. So that is 8 guys fighting for time for 2 spots. When Moreau comes back you know he has one of those spots. That will leave 8 guys fighting for one spot. Schremp is not even close to the best on that list. The only chance that Schremp has of being an NHL player in the next 1-2 years is a trade.
But, to answer the question, here would be my lines:
Smyth-Horcoff-Lupal Sykora-Nedved-Hemsky
After those two, there are two options that make sense to me:
1) Moreau-Stoll-Pisani and Torres-Reasoner-Winchester (If this happens, Winchester will stay on the 4th line for size)
2)Torres-Stoll-Pisani and Moreau-Reasoner-Thorenson/Peterson (If this happens, Thorenson or Peterson will be on the 4th line for speed, and Winchester will be out)

Posted - 01/20/2007 : 14:33:55 ya i'm surprised Schremp isn't playing he is really good, maybe they want him to mature or something and ya it is going to be a tough fit for Thoresen,Petersen and Winchester |

Posted - 01/20/2007 : 14:10:29 One of our regular forwards will be gone by the trade deadline so there will be a spot open. |

That's looks good to me. But I think it should be:
Smyth-Horcoff-Lupul Sykora-Nedved-Hemsky Torres-Stoll-Pisani Moreau-Schremp-Winchester
I don't get why Rob Schremp isn't playing yet. But Those lines look really good. Lots of scoring from the top 2, and lots of power from the bottom 2.
Of course Schremp proabably won't play this year, & Winchester is gunna get tossed out every so often. They also got Thoresen & Petersen who are regulars in the line up. So 4 regulars and 2 spots in the line up. |
