Posted - 10/11/2006 : 09:52:35 I was reading on Sprtsnet that Peter Forsberg declined to shoot fourth and potentially win the game for his team in the shootout. This sounds crazy to me, a team captain not wanting to shoot for the win. Not only the captain but the best player on the team?
Can anyone confirm this?

Posted - 10/12/2006 : 11:04:53 I heard about this too and I heard along with it that apparently that's how strongly he feels about shootouts deciding games. I'm not sure if he participated in them last year, but I heard that he is against the shootout and that's why he made this move. Now I don't know if it's very Captain-like to put your feelings ahead of your team's success, but I'm not in his shoes.
