TSN.ca is reporting that Petr Nedved has been recalled from the Phantoms in hopes that another team will claim him. Philly will be on the hook for $750,000 of his $1.5 million salary.
With teams like Calgary looking for scoring help he could be picked up later today. |

With Jeff Carter out 6 weeks with an ankle injury, Nedved might have actually been recalled so that he could play - and not get claimed. He is a third line center at best and is a consistent underperformer. I wouldn't call $750,000 a good deal, but a lot better than the full proce tag of $1.5 million. |
