Crosby recorded his 700th career point against Tampa with an assist on Brandon Sutter's third period goal. And to think he hasn't even played 500 NHL games!

As good as Crosby is, its staggering that Gretzky put up the same point total Crosby has in 200 less games. Long live the Great one's records. |

I think Sid's 700th came in game #496.

Not too shabby! It's just too bad he didn't get to play in the 80's when you could realy put up crazy numbers.
Not that I'm doing that BS comparison to Gretzky some people would want to make, but just for the sake of satisfying my own curiosity, I took a quick peek and it looks like Wayne hit 700 points in just over 300 games. |
