Posted - 02/28/2007 : 16:25:58 They couldnt trade him in the offseason... He's an unrestricted free agent... If the Sabres didnt get the 2nd round pick, they would get nothing.
Having said that, If I were them, I would be very tempted to acccept the fact that I would get nothing in return for him, and keep him as a quality backup for the cup run, since they are on the verge.. |

Posted - 02/27/2007 : 09:53:47 This one makes no sense to me. What the hell do the Sabres need a 2nd round pick for? They are on the verge of making a cup run (if they get healthy) What if Miller gets hurt? Is Conklin going to step in and take over?
Unless they move the 2nd round pick for a player that can help now.
But why not make this trade in the off season?
