I was wondering who you sens fans thought should the #1?
I don't even know why they'd spend so much cash on gerber after ray proved himself in the playoffs(cept game 1 vs. buffalo obviously)...I could understand bringing in a decent guy to challenge ray....but 3 mil on gerber?......Long live ray..

That way if you trade Gerber or release him, the Sens would free up some space in Salaries, because some players might want a raise. Or can maybe keep Comrie

Ray Emery is so much better than Gerber. Gerber hasn't proven himself all season and Ottawa should probably trade him for a goalie worth the less cash that can maybe prove himself rather than hanging on to Gerber as he rides the pine.

Agreed...long live Ray!
However, I wouldn't have minded seeing a Gerber-and-a-draft-pick package going to San Jose or Anaheim for one of those 4 starter-quality keepers, and Ray moving into the 20/25-game backup role. Another month and a bit until the trade deadline....maybe it will happen!
