They couldnt grab Nedved yesterday, but they ended up acquiring Mike Comrie from Phoenix in exchange for disgruntled Alexei Kaigorodov. The Sens have a solid rental player in Comrie. They are on the hook for about half of his $3 million salary and he is a UFA this summer. I have never been a big fan of his, but Kaigorodov was never gonna play in Ottawa anyways. |

Yeah.... Ottawa got a good rental for just about nothing. Sorry to say this Phoenix, but that was a bad move on ur part.

Not bad, considering everyone got bent outta shape when they missed out on Nedved....now Nedved is on the IR, and Comrie is shining in the Nation's Capitol!

He's a good fit since he has moved to Ottawa. Rumor has it that when Spezza gets back he won't be back on the first line because then chemistry between Heatly, Alfredssen & Comrie is working to well. |
