I think you would have to assess this top level potential and how long it will take him to get there. Frankly, I see him as about a 60 pt player and I think he is 2-4 yrs from being there. For that, There are many other guys in that range already that would would not have to wait for.
There are better young players, IMO. |

I appreciate your search for the diamond in the rough, but it might be a bit early for him - 9 NHL games so far. There have to be better options for your pool?
I could see him being a reasonable pick if he stays with the big team for 3/4 of the year this coming season... |
