No chance in 1-5 years, publicity nightmare if the Leafs win in the next 1-5 (news headline Canadian Team wins Stanely Cup). I mean who buys leafs jerseys in Nashville, LA, Atlanta, Pheonix, Tampa and Dallas. I pick a champ from one of those 1st because I like conspiricy theories.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are currently far away from their next Stanley Cup. This organization needs to continue a re-build for a couple more years, and that rebuild has to go rite!

If they can rebuild properly and retrieve the parts/players they need to fit, we may see the Leafs contending in the next three years. I can not see this any sooner. A Playoff team? Maybe by the 2010-2011 seasons end, but not an actual cup contender.

I do not see an actual Cup in the Leafs near future, only some hope actually competing.

Once again, typical Leaf-Fan question...
It doesn't make sense to ask this.
Are you asking when do you tihnk they'll win WITH THIS TEAM???
Are you asking when "might" they win IF all these young players continue to progress??
Useless question/ poll....
Today's teams are changing by the minute, Islanders may win a cup before leafs do.... IF this and IF that....

This is one of those polls that may as well say "how much do you like the leafs?" cuz the votes for the most part will reflect that!

For the record, i said 11-15 years. Why? I really dunno? I don't see them winning it in the next 5, but that could change in an instant if they sign or trade for the right guys?

any body who is voting 1-5 years has to be a delusional leafs fan. i mean come on look at some of the better teams around the league with better young talent.. if you actually see the leafs winning the cup or even making a cup final in the next 5 years you really need to give your head a shake

im not really the biggest leaf fan so i want to say never, but i voted 6-10 years. they do have some good young talent, and by that time they should b able to put together a competitive team.

kessel is still young, schenn will only get better, kadri and bozak look very promising and of course gustavsson has already proven to be a solid goalie and will continue to do so.
