We all know the contoversy surrounding the decision making on Long Island. They just made a couple of trades. Who do you think really calls the shots?

It was said from the start of the year, either they will look like Gods or Goats. I would say that the are doing much better than what most expected.

I, along with everyone else, made fun of the Islanders for their decisions over the summer. From the 15 year Dipietro contract, to the Garth Snow hiring, Lafontaine leaving, Wang being a Wang etc.

But look at this team's record. 17-12-3 and seventh in the East. Nolan has Yashin scoring again and Dipietro is playing pretty solid. Super underacheiver Viktor Kozlov is having a great year and there is no sign of them slowing down.

Have to give credit where credit is due.

I voted Dipietro! As you pointed out in your 'Heads Up' article, he and Freddy Meyer are childhood friends. Coincidence?
