Not sure who it was or in what thread it was, but someone was picking Stamkos to score 50 goals this season, just a month or so ago? At the time, the prediction was met with some pretty serious negativity as he would have needed to go on quite a tear to just have a chance at it? Think he was sitting around 32 goals at the time?
Well, after posting a rather stunning 17 goals in him past 19 games, he's suddenly at 42. He needs just 8 in his last 15 games to hit the 50 mark. Have to say, that'd be pretty impressive for a kid who many said was a "bust" after last season? |

This reminds me of a while ago when i said something good about the Canucks and it got replies one man teams don't win. Well that statement is true but not Directed at the Canucks  . |

I was someone who certainly thought "no way" for 50 goals . . . but boy, is that guy a talent. Having just seen my Leafs play the Lightning, I was very impressed by him.
He won't be getting close to a goal a game forever, but 8 in 15? Very possible now, depends on the schedule and a bit of luck.
