Posted - 01/01/2007 : 09:59:24 I choose 'ability to choose an NHL team'
In the hockey pool I do with my friends we always pick 2 teams and I hate to have to add the points manually to the total.
It would also be easier to do then the +/- for example |

you can go to NHL.com to find shootout statistics like these: http://www.nhl.com/scores/htmlreports/20062007/SO020543.HTM
That report works perfect. In this case Mason would get 4 points, Legace 2, & Radulov 1. That is if you give 1 point per save & 1 point per goal. |

Thanks in advance for the clarity.
You obviously didnt vote for them if you dont know what they are
-Well I know the bias rule means drop your highest/lowest point scorer so I assume positional bias means you can choose to drop by position.
-I have seen a lot of variations of the bench player option - but it basically means you can control who is on your active team and who is on the bench (not scoring points for you)
-Choosing an NHL team - You choose a team and get points associated with wins/losses etc.
-Shootouts are tracked by the NHL.
Hope this helps |

I know this would probably be really hard to keep track of; but for shootouts, right now, you only give points to the shootout winner. I think it would be cool if you could give points to all the player who score in the shootout & points to the goalies everytime the make a save in the shootout. That way if my forward is shooting against one of my fellow poolies goalie it will make it that much more interesting to watch. One of us will profit & the other will loose. giving points to just the shootout winner makes give shootout points really pointless(no pun intended).
i totally agree so many times Marian Hossa has scored in the shootout but Kozlov went first and also scored so Kozlov gets the point its very annoying |

Hey, how about this. When you have the injury list, show us in the order and team name of the pool. That way I look at the injury list, I can see which one of MY players that I picked are injured, not who on Anaheim is injured.
