In their responses in the article above Fleury & Dupuis seem to have the mindset that not only will Crosby return, but he will comeback & simply do what Crosby does.
After 3 months off and the playoffs looming, there is little out of the pens organization as far as Crosby's true progression & where he stands for the playoffs. The media reports he is improving and he maybe ready for the playoffs. While Shero & Bylsma, claim he is only in phase one and has many steps to take before they even think about his return.
Along with the subject head, I throw these questions out there for responses. With his teammates apparent buoyancy has Crosby been fine & maybe ready to play for several weeks, but with the teams recent consistency, management feels its better off to let him rest & further heal? Has the organization been playing possum with the rest of the league, more specifically the east; keeping all the possible details under wraps until the opening night of the playoffs??

Posted - 04/21/2011 : 10:02:35 Are you kidding? That ship has long sailed, Crosby is 4x better then Ovevhkin in all aspects of the game. Three yrs ago you may have been able to argue that Ovechkin was offensively more dominant, but Crosby's Rocket last yr & the same amount of goals in 40 less games shows that can't even be argued anymore.
I am cool if you have a man crush on Ovi, but lets use a little logic when making such a bold statement.

Posted - 03/31/2011 : 16:33:10 I was watching video clip of him in practice this past week. He was skating at near top speed with one hand on his stick and passing the puck to his back skate and kicking it back to his stick over and over again. Did I mention he was near top speed and with one hand on his stick??
Crosby is hands down the best player on the planet today. Players like that do not get bad as they are just supremely talented. He might need a game or two to get his legs back under him, but that's about it. If the reports are true and he is travelling with the team, he will get in a few games before the playoffs. The last I heard is that he will play the last 4-5 games of the season.
He will be ready to go and will dominate come round 1. Look out East teams, the road to the Mug goes through Pitt. |
