I think it will go to Kesler

Thanks for the poll Nuxfan! I just posted it on the home page. I made it a bit more succinct and stripped out some of the banter you had in the question so it would work on the home page. Hope that's ok.

For others who may want a poll featured on the home page just follow these guidelines: http://www.pickuphockey.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3485

On a personal level I would say Toews. I know the playoffs have no impact on the award but after watching that kid play in the past 3 games, I have not seen a 2-way player like that since Steve Yzerman. He was awesome.

That being said, I wouldn't have a problem with any of the three winning. They really all do deserve the award. This is easily the best nominations of any award for this seasons.

I wouldn't complain to see a co-winner between Toews and Kesler, only because Datsuyk has a couple of these on his mantle.

I've said it in the past, i'll say it again. I get the feeling that because of past nominations, it'll go to Kes. It's as though he had to bide his time and i agree, Datsyuk's inj's will hamper his chances. He's always a stud as far as takeaways though. The more i watch him in these playoffs, the more i appreciate him! His backchecking is phenominal!

Still think Kesler takes it this time.

Any of the 3 could win & i wouldn't have a problem with it...but it should go to Ryan Kesler.

Kudo's to Datsyuk for past years, but he will be hurt by not playing enough games this injury-riddled season (only 56). I don't think he'll take it - had he played a full season though, this might have been one of the closest awards given out this year.

Kesler vs Toews, flip a coin. They're both so equal in terms of stats this year: Toews had 3 more points than Kes, Kesler was better FO% by a single percentage point, both are their respective teams' top PK centres. If they look at overall team performance that would tip it in favour of Kesler - he was the best defensive forward on the team that allowed the fewest goals against. My bias says Kesler
