the finals is the best the first 3 rounds arent that exciting because in the finals they are the 2 best teams

I am glad to see someone else gives props to that series...All my buddies call me an idiot for liking that one.....I know it only went 5 games...But those were the best 5 games of last years playoffs

I konow LOL. I loved the faces on the Sens players after Pominville scored. Alfie's face was priceless. Great series.

I like the second round most. First round does seperate contenders from pretenders but the second round pits the contenders with the other contenders. Look at last year with Ottawa losing to Buffalo. That was drama.

I like the first round. So many games, and there will be at least one 19 yr Penguin crying this year.
June is too late. It just doesn't seem right to try to book a tee time so that you can get to the pub for the game. |

I agree the finals can be great But:
1) It's JUNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (can someone say golf?)
2)As I said before : Detroit vs Carolina ewwwww( I watched every minute though hahaha)
3) One game every 2 or 3 nights doesn't really turn my crank
4)The teams are pretty burnt out so the quality isn't quite as good
5) Did I mention it's June?

yup, 1st round for me too. I set up a couple tv's and bask in the glory that is hockey. Of course you can't beat the finals if your team is there. Otherwise it's off and on. (I still watch every game though haha!) |

The first round is always the most interesting, all the upsets usually take place and there is alot of hockey going on.

I also love the first round for the same reason, there are so many games and they're all super important. Plus, the entertaining teams to watch are still in and almost all the games are broadcast on cable.
The Finals are obviously great too, especially the last few games, but like you said, it can be boring depending on who is playing. Too often, the teams are too afraid to make mistakes so no risks are taken and boring hockey sets in. Last year's Finals were so boring for me to watch because I didn't care who won between the Canes and Oilers and those two teams are just flat out dull to watch. |

I am going to wait until the playoffs so i can see who is playing eachother, the i will make a desicion.

I'm all about the first round...4 games (usually) a night on the tv...
Plus you get good upsets and a better probability of seeing a game 7....
Last year, however, I found round 2 the best, largely b/c of that Ottawa vs Buffalo Series ...I know it only went 5 games but those were unreal games.
Too often you get a Detroit vs Carolina type finals (yawn) ..and it's only 1 game every two nights.....So the finals is my least favorite (except this year since the leafs will win)
