I have heard a few people saying it is unfair for the New Jersey Devils to rest Broduer when the game means so much to the Leafs and they should play him to give the Leafs the best shot to make it. What do you think?

Leafs fans, face it. This is a dumb thread. Of course NJ has no obligation to do *anything* to help (or hurt for that matter) the Leafs.

If you want to direct your anger, direct it at the Leafs players and management. They didnt play well enough this year to earn a playoff spot outright, and that's what you should be upset about...

TSN asked a similier question to mine, Should the devils have felt obliged to put in Broduer? and it was a landslide 70% said they should have played them, I guess there is alot of leafs fans watching the game.

Since when do the Devils care so much to specifically rest their best goalie to give the Leafs a better chance at getting in? They'll do whatever they friggin' want to do, that is, what's best for THEIR team, regardless of what Toronto thinks about it.

Just because of this thread...

GOOOOOOOOOOOOO IIIISLES!!! (up 1-0, YES!)

This shouldnt even be a discussion. Teams should always, and I say always, do what is in their best interest. THAT is their only mandate.

Only a Leafs fan would think it unfair. I heard Cherry going on about it. The Devils should and will do whats best for them. Why would they do otherwise?

Hockey isn't fair. Life isn't fair.

They should rest Brodeur.

Since when has fair ever been a factor? Why would they care in the least if NYI or TO is the final team?

They want to wint the cup, they may very well give Marty the night off, cause he ain't gonna get another opportunity...

The Deivls don't care who makes it or not. They can beat both teams. Brodeur has beaten Parent's record, so he doesn't need to play.

The New Jersey Devils earned the right to rest there star goalie after the year he has had and the team itself has had. I am sure the Devils really dont care if the leafs are knocked out or not.
