I would have to say he maybe is a bit too old and no team would be willing to sign him.

Go leafs Go!!!!

any fool can see why he has retired in his shoes he would only play for a cup contender and no contender would sign him. lots of team would pay him minmum dollar but why play for a non playoff team.
he wants to be a maple leaf and with all the other errors toronto has done with aging free agents in the past there is no way they will sign as the fans/media would crusify ferguson.

Stastny, with all due respect, you were barely born when Roenick had his best seasons. The past two year have not been good for him, but before that he was a point a game guy and ALWAYS excelled. He is an amazing talent who should go in the HHOF. The only two knocks against him are that HHOF judges like players who have won the Stanley Cup and he was very outspoken about the strike. Take those two things away and he is there for sure. No question about it. He was never great??

And when you think about it, Roenick played the Meat of his career through the dead puck era and has only 60 less points than your idol Peter Stastny.

Roenick was a top 3 player in the league in his prime and to call him good but not great is a tragedy.

Or he could become a singer and tryout for american idol. Or perhaps make a station at the carnival called the water bottle through. No but seriously im gona say to many of his old teamates have retired and his heart just isn't any more. Plus with gretzky coaching your team you don't get very much attention in phoniex which JR dosen't mind

I don't think he will, he never was great, he always was good, but I don't think he was good enough

what do Calgary and a tea bag have in common- they're both only good for one cup

I think his heart is still in it and there are team that would take him, but I think that he doesn't want to be a circus act. The media would be all over him until he scored his 500 goals, then they would go away. It's just time. It was actually time last year.

I think the poll means that his heart isn't into playing. I'd say that because I think there are more than a few teams that could use his experience and would be willing to pick him up cheap.

I wouldn't say his heart isn't in it anymore but I think he doesn't want to play. I guess that could mean his heart isn't in it but I said other because he contradicts that with his hopes of commenting on hockey games and such.
