Here are the finalists announced by the NHL for the award.
Who will win?

If Chara ever wins the Norris, I am getting an Aki Berg Team Finland jersey and wearing it to the Olympics in Vancouver.

Chara is good, but I have never seen a player be so overrated in my life. He was burned about 20 times in the Habs series because he can't skate and turn quick enough. I think Hal Gill might be a better skater (and he tried to kill Avery, so he is good peeps in my books).

Nick Lidstrom is just an amazing d-man. Missed some time this year, Detroit struggled when Lidstrom wasn't there, was still able to rack up 70 points, He is an amazing d-man another norris for him.

Go Stars!!!

I Vote for Aki Berg.

Agreed.
Lidstrom has no competition, but a man named Campbell hit San Jose after deadline day, and the SharkTank has been running on energy and two- point night ever since. Not to mention, as well, he did almost single handedly imporve the team's rating; I'm not saying he did it ALL alone, but he definetly improved the teams rating DRASTICALLY, and almost took them far enough to win the conference. Brian Campbell: a major enforcer, point getter, and team leader; He should be in there over Chara- whom he beat in points, and team records as well.

Zdeno Chara was a good pick to be one of the finalists. He plays well and carried the Defensive load for Boston. Lidstrom will win though.

It's Lidstrom and there isn't even an contest.

However, starting in the next couple of years, there will be a changing of the guard. Players like Phaneuf, Burns, Weber, Green, and Enstrom will make things more interesting.

I still think that Phaneuf makes far too many "rookie" type defensive mistakes to give him the nod. No doubt he is a beast and a great offensive player. If and when he learns to stop making those hits that sacrifice the play and learns how to hit to improve the play, he will have his name on Mr. Orr's Trophy for years to come.
