My little brother's best friend's dad is NHL referee Brad Meier, and my dad lived on the same street as the Chynoweths.
There was once a license plate in Toronto that abbreviated "Go Leafs" it read "Golfs". |

Where I currently work, my immediate boss and co-owner's cousin's son is Mike Cammalari (spelled wrong?)

I've met quite a few now NHL players, from when they played in my City on the AHL Affiliate. As, we shared the same Doctor, met them at Clubs, etc...
I also know a couple of guys who are from here.

I've met Jonathan Toews' parents. Genuinely nice people. We grew up in the same neighbourhood but he's about 4 years younger than me so we never met personally. Makes me happy to see that he's doing well (understatement of the year) the same way I enjoy seeing hard-working local business owners succeed.
It's also pretty much the only reason I'm cheering for Chicago this go around. He's got a cult following here in Winnipeg.
We watched the Olympic gold medal game on the jumbotron at the MTS Centre, and you should have heard the place when he scored. It gave me goosebumps. |

I have 2 family members Rick Wamsley and Colin White and we had a cottage next to Doug MacLean.Oh I also met Marty Brodeur,Patrik Elias and Kovalchuk.
