This should be a really fun game if it gets rolling.
We all know that the active members on this site have a pretty good sense of each other. We all have our reputations.
Well, I was thinking, why don't we put our reputation where our mouth is. Let's do a little bit of a betting game.
We all start with 1000 points. You can bet as many as you want on ANYTHING in the NHL happenening. For example, I can bet 50 points on the Islanders making a come back from their current 3-0 position against the Bruins. If anyone takes the bet, they have to reply with a quote and say 'I challenge that'. Multiple members can challenge the same statement.
Of course, you can make it crazier than that. You can bet that Crosby gets married by the end of the season, you can bet the Leclaire changes his hairstyle, you can bet that Super Mario comes out of retirement...!
And pretty much anything else goes, to my discretion  . You could say 'I will make a 4:1 payout on anyone willing to bet 'X' amount of points that the Flames win their division'.
At the end of every day, the points will be tallied. Any bets that are long term will be reitterated.
Let the games begin!

Beans, I'll take that bet, but there will have to be a definition of "this thread going anywhere".
Also, if you bet ALL your points (1000), and you give three to one odds - either you are betting points you don't have, or the other guy is betting a .33333 of a point.
btw, by answering - you lose the bet! (it would mean we are going somewhere, in my mind . . . lol)
