Who is the most dominating player under 5'10 who's ever played in the NHL (well, the past 20 years or so since I don't know all the players before then)?

Have to go with Fleury on this one.
Although I didn't know The Little Beaver was only 5"8.He was always so underrated in L.A. (Total Hockey lists him at 5"9. Always slight misrepresentations with heights!)

Good point about Fleury's shortie hat-trick. I always forget about that feather in Theo's cap. Boy he was so fun to watch !

LOL great picture PuckNuts. Chara must be 7 feet on his skates.

St. Louis and Briere are both 5'9"; not the shortest obviously, but they're both great "short" players. Once I read something about some guy who played in the NHL and weighed 95 pounds. The fact that he actually survived a game, let alone the season with 200+ pound players in the goon era is a miracle, lol.

Not the best, but how about the shortest 20+ goal scorer...had two 20+ seasons (peaked at 24 g in 78/79)...Bobby Lalonde...listed at 5'5" and 155 lbs. Amazing when you consider that he played in the goon era of hockey.

Yvan Cournoyer and Henri Richard were 5' 7".
I would like to change my vote.

5' 8" Marcel Dionne, the best ever at that height...

Lead, follow, or get out of the way...

I voted for Fleury, but I'm down with Dionne. And if Kariya is 5'11", then I'm Shaquille O'Neal. He's listed at 5'10", but they always inflate those numbers.

I knew there was someone I wasn't thinking of. Nice work Manninm.

Also for 5'10" guys the Golden Jet, Bobby Hull.

Briere and Savard were 5'10" and Kariya 5'11".. none " under 5'10" "
;)

With Savard out of the mix, I HATE him, but I'll vote Fleury.

It's funny because some sites show him as 5'11, and some show him as 5'10, but he looks 5'10 to me... thanks for the suggestions though and I will add St. Louis. I know there's probably lots more 5'10 guys just can't think of any right now...

Savard is 5'10" If you're including 5'10 guys there are many more.
Sub 5'10" from this list I would say Fleury. He was quite the spark plug. Not sure if that was the nose candy or not. He just never quit trying. Fun to watch for sure.

I like this poll.

I know Savard got tonnes of points but I never really saw him play that much... for me it has to be Theo Fleury. He was definitely something else because he played with so much passion and energy. I actually really hated him in the early 90's when he was sooo good for Calgary.
