Posted - 11/05/2010 : 10:20:37 Hard to pick b/w Datsyuk and Kovalev.
Datsyuk because he has more success.
Making Hockey more accessible. |

Posted - 11/04/2010 : 08:18:48 Datsyuk is great in traffic and finnishes most times with a great pass or goal!! I agree with the list being too current. |

Posted - 04/02/2010 : 03:18:47 I can't believe how few did not pick Datsyuk. The guy is a small forward but you never see him get hit just watch a game and see his puck handling skills a long the boards they are absolutely nuts. Also the datsyukian deke whatever you want to call it his shootout move and the one he used in a game against turco is utterly insane I have yet to see someone else do that move and I have a buddy playing pro hockey in the ahl and he said that is by far the hardest deke he has seen to replicate. I just don;t see why there is no love for pavel haha but I do see why so many went with Kovalev. Difference is pavel does it on a nightly basis against opposition not in an empty rink to make videos and sell merchandise. This is for current NHL players as well I haven't been a hockey fan long enough to make comparisons to the Orrs and Savards of past. |

Posted - 04/01/2010 : 08:18:31 I would say Datsyuk or Crosby |

Posted - 11/17/2009 : 20:47:28 Pity most of you never saw the great Jean Beliveau or Stan Mikita, they dominated before stick handling became a lost art. |

Out of all NHL players, you guys pick Kyle Wellwood as the top stickhandler?
Erm. :/

Posted - 10/17/2009 : 11:31:15 I cant believe of the current players Huselius has not been mentioned. He is not a scorer he is a passer. Constantly critisized for holding on to the puck to long, but watch this guy stick handle. It wouldn't surprise me if he had a record more time with the puck per game. Of course I haven't seen him play alot since he was traded to Columbus, so my memories are of his time in Calgary.
Of all time Kariya was one of the, if not the best stickhandlers I have seen live, although Gretzky was the best stickhandler behind the net period. |

Posted - 10/17/2009 : 04:11:49 Yeah, Hemsky is one really good stickhandler just like some others up there.

Posted - 10/17/2009 : 01:26:04 Hemsky...he's got pretty damn sick handles and scored a lot of clutch game tying goals too. All because of his sick dekeing. (sp) |

Posted - 10/16/2009 : 22:45:02 Current players only:
Kovalev & Malkin have some mean stick skills.
Kovalev more so, Malkin seems to keep the stick moves fairly basic, but in a way that he generates so much room for himself, and his teammates at the same time. While two follow Malkin, unsuccessfully, it opens room for another forward to take the pass wide open, or for Malkin to just "dipsy doodle" in. :p
Kovalev though, well, I'm sure most of you already know what he is capable of when he "feels" like doing it. He can turn the puck and Defencmen inside-out.

Posted - 12/30/2008 : 14:52:20 Wayne Gretzky. You just couldn't take the puck away from the guy |

Posted - 11/10/2008 : 14:02:59 Well Zherdev is a good stickhandler but not as good as kovalev,spezza,hemsky...etc but he maybe should get mentioned but I don't think as many people would vote for him as being the best stickhandler. |
Guest0599 |
Posted - 11/10/2008 : 13:36:04 I think Zherdev deserves a mention. He's an up and commer with a lot of skill. Reminds me of Kovi. |

Posted - 11/10/2008 : 10:43:24 Kyle wellwood is farely good but not as good as a lot more better stackhandlers. |

Posted - 11/09/2008 : 22:16:37 Man They Are All Good They All Have There Ups And Downs Spezza score at moments are tight and some target shooting goals, Ovie can score but he anit right now? , Forsberg who the hell is forsberg? he that guy still playen?, Bure forget about him, Hemsky now this guys pretty good guy but doesnt score to much, Dutsyuk gots luck, Orr was a good guy not so much a stickhandler, defenivice guy, EveryOne Is Good But At Different Times. |
Guest8171 |
Posted - 11/09/2008 : 19:51:40 From what I've seen, and only talking about current players, Hemsky has the best stick handling skills. Every goal he scores (Though there aren't many) are beautiful. Look at his goals against Philly, and his goal against New Jersey for proof. The way he can dance through the defence is amazing. |
J-Dog |
Posted - 11/09/2008 : 18:27:14 Well if you gave George Laraque the puck, would anyone WANT to take it away from him. If that doesn't count I'd go with Orr for all-time and Bure for "since I was born." |

Posted - 11/09/2008 : 16:28:00 This is a pretty amazing stickhandling goal

Posted - 10/11/2008 : 21:58:10 if just stick handling i remember kariya used to win that skills competition all the time if your talking about a dangler i'd probably go with spezza |
