Posted - 05/18/2008 : 15:28:06 It has been 15 years since a Canadian team won the cup, yet 16 Canadian captains have appeared in the finals since that time. At least one more will be there this year. If only one of the captains who made it to the finals could have won the cup, which would you have wanted to win? |

Posted - 05/19/2008 : 09:58:58 Sidney Crosby mainly because he is so young and my rookie card might go up in price! Eric Lindros would of been nice to see because he had such a dissappointing career because of injuries but it would of been nice to see him win. However with all the concussions he probably would eventually forgot that he had won.
Stars for the Cup! |

Posted - 05/18/2008 : 15:46:08 Wow, I didn't realize how much Canadian's dominate! I just thought that since a Canadian team didn't win the cup, Canada itself was losing its edge. It's funny because only two Canadian teams actually have Canadian captains!
Here's the captains who made it to the final since 1993
Sidney Crosby 2008 Scott Niedermayer 2007 Rod Brind’Amour 2006 Jason Smith 2006 Dave Andreychuk 2004 Jarome Iginla 2004 Scott Stevens 2000, 2001, 2003 Paul Kariya 2003 Steve Yzerman 1995, 1997, 1998, 2002 Ron Francis 2002 Joe Sakic 1996, 2001 Michael Peca 1999 Dale Hunter 1998 Eric Lindros 1997 Brian Skrudland 1996 Mark Messier 1994 Trevor Linden 1994
Let’s hope Morrow’s name isn’t added to that list!
I've got to vote for Crosby, just because I really want to see the youngest captain in history win the cup! Too bad he won't do it though, my Johan Franzen is just too good!
