Heard they chose to keep Jamie Oleksiak who i believe is Dallas Stars property and measures in at 6'7" and 240lbs??? That's monsterous for a kid that young! I pity the Russians, Swedes, etc if this guy get's a nice clean check in on them!!!

Also shows how much I know the roster was finalized today and Wegewood got the backup job.

Some players I was surprised to see cut were Brett Bulmer who started the year with the Wild and Tyler Toffoli who in my opinion is the best player in the CHL and also chipped in with two goals in the game against the CIS all-stars.

You miss 100 percent of the shots you don't take Wayne Gretzky

Huh, shows you how much the local radio guys know, lol, they were talking about Roy making the team as Visentin's backup? I guess they're a year late!
Sensfan101 Posted - 12/13/2011 : 14:34:47
Yeah Roy is not at camp I pretty sure he is to old. Visentin seems to be a lock for the starting job and I'd say back-up is between Dominique or Bunz

Olivier roy is playing in the echl! The goalies are louis dominigue, scott wedgewoof, mark visentin and tyler bunz! Which I have Bunz making the team along with visentin!

sensfan.....who's this goalie you have making it? Louis Domingue? I don't follow a lot of junior stuff but isn't Olivier Roy in the running for a spot? And didn't he make the team last year? Usually these guys are brought back if they made it one year, no? Or maybe he's not playing well right now?

First round of cuts today at he world juniors among the cuts were Matt Dumba and Zack Phillips.

After seeing the cuts and hearing some of what Bob Mackenzie had to say this is who I think Canadas bottom three defensemen will be
Jamie Oleksiak - Cody Ceci
Ryan Murphy
I think the top four I had on my roster are all locks.

Imagine skinner and the nuge playing together at the juniors ... What a shame we don't get to see that.

Gubranson has never played an AHL game, He's been up with Florida all year, and he has been playing well.

Its too bad Tallon didnt realase him, but thats his choice, theres plenty of other Canadians that are jr eligable and like Gubranson they are considered an important part of their team and they are more needed by them. Dont forget that Canada has been in the gold medal game 10 years in a row and has had plenty of talent in the NHL while the tournament was going on, yet we still dominate!

It was interesting to hear the Connolly speak, he said it was a "Bitter sweet" feeling to be sent back, a great chance to win gold, but also kinda shows that your NHL team thinks it can do just fine without you for close to a month.

CANUCKS RULE!!!

Bummer. Misses out because he's essentially and insurance policy for the Panthers. Sucks for Canada!
