Some former University of Minnesota students, including Phil Kessel and Erik Johnson, played for the US in the World Championships. More great NHLers or NHL prospects from the U! Minnesota rules.

Yeah he did, I was just mentioning Minnesota players since I found this off the school website. But Toews did play for Canada, and now has 2 World Champ medals (one here, one in the Juniors).

Also Jonathan Toews from the University of North Dakota played for Canada at the WHC.
