Sault Ste. Marie is not Wrong. He played with them when he was 16 in 1977 for his only year of Major Junior Hockey. After that, he signed with the Indianapolis Racers of the WHA as an underage player. The WHA was a pro league, and after that, he went to the Oilers. So, if Sault Ste. Marie is wrong, then who did he play for.

(PS. I did look this up when I was told I was wrong. Check his own website if you disagree)

Questions 1,3,5,6,7 and 8 are correct. Only 2 and 4 to go.

By the way, Don Cherry never played an NHL reagular season game, but did participate in one playoff game.

And Billy Smith is the first goalie credited with a goal, and, like Bablaboshka said, Hextall is the first to actually shoot and score in a net

2) No idea
3) Gretzky was never drafted (hence the "trick")
4) Barnaby
5) Stu Grimson (it even says it in the nicknames thread)
6) You wouldn't say it was a trick question without the answer being none
7) Billy Smith was the first credited with a goal but Hextall was the first to physically shoot it in, I believe
8) Either Coffey or Bourque, I'll say Coffey
