This could have been a candidate for goal of the year. Okay, that to some might be a little strong but considering the season Kyle Wellwood's had, it'd be a highlight for him for sure!!!
If only he could have popped it in. Darn spOILER goalie!

I watched this game an my God I thought Kyle wellwood was possessed all night. By far he was the best Canuck player on the ice. As a Leaf fan I know his inconsistency all to well. Sometimes you see flashes of brilliance that could make him a possible 20 goal 30-40 assist man on a yearly basis then for the next 5 games he makes you wonder if he is even playing. Either way when he decides to play like he did against the Oilers he is really fun to watch. |

Actually, that reminds me of Nilsson's goal back in December or January - that was a beauty, too.
As nice as Wellwood's moves were last night, Deslauriers was unreal. Well-deserving of first star on the night.
