VAN is through, they'll face either DET or SJ. Which team does VAN have the best chance of beating?

Rinne was, by far, the best goalie this playoffs. Crawford, who they beat in the first round, was probably a close second.

Vancouver might finally roll over a team next round, IMHO. Detroit's older D and mediocre goalie would be exposed; and San Jose would be tougher, but also doesn't have a D that measures up to playing against what amounts to two top lines (the Sedins and the Kesler line). Vancouver's D has shown themselves to be superior, and Luongo is better than both other goalies.

So I voted it doesn't matter - they'd beat both. Detroit in 4 or 5, San Jose in 5 or 6. Whether they can win in the finals against TB is another matter; but they will make it there, I am sure of it.

I've said Detroit all along. The Canucks did well vs both of them from what i heard (recently), but for some reason, i still always find they struggle with SJ in big games (at least they have in the past 5 years).

I'm not sold on Detroit's goaltending either. Then again, anyone not named Rinne surely can't prove to be as tough to beat as that guy was?

San Jose would be a huge challenge. I don't think the nux would be able to handle the physical play of Thornton, Heatley and Marleau.
So I also like Detroit.

I would pick Detroit as well.

Just because I hate the sharks and I want van city to win the cup

I like DET myself - similar style skill game, evenly matched opponent with similar strengths in every area on the ice. I think VAN holds a slight edge in goaltending and in defense, but not by much.

Plus, I just like watching DET play.
