I was reading on Sprtsnet that Peter Forsberg declined to shoot fourth and potentially win the game for his team in the shootout. This sounds crazy to me, a team captain not wanting to shoot for the win. Not only the captain but the best player on the team?

Can anyone confirm this?

I heard about this too and I heard along with it that apparently that's how strongly he feels about shootouts deciding games. I'm not sure if he participated in them last year, but I heard that he is against the shootout and that's why he made this move. Now I don't know if it's very Captain-like to put your feelings ahead of your team's success, but I'm not in his shoes.

I heard that too around the water cooler. I can't imagine why though He's one of the craftiest guys in the league. Maybe he feels there is better candidates on the team?
