TSN.ca is reporting that Petr Nedved has been recalled from the Phantoms in hopes that another team will claim him. Philly will be on the hook for $750,000 of his $1.5 million salary.

With teams like Calgary looking for scoring help he could be picked up later today.

Nedved is Garbage and if anyone picks him up they are crazy.

With Jeff Carter out 6 weeks with an ankle injury, Nedved might have actually been recalled so that he could play - and not get claimed. He is a third line center at best and is a consistent underperformer. I wouldn't call $750,000 a good deal, but a lot better than the full proce tag of $1.5 million.
