Chris Pronger took a slapshot in tonight's loss to the Wild and broke his foot. Should be interesting to see how the Anaheim responds without him. Might be a big opportunity for San Jose (and everyone else for that matter)

Ouch, this really hurts Anaheim. Not only is he out but they're still playing their third string, Wall (ironically, not quite) because Giguere and Bryzgalov are out. Fair statement that things aren't going so well. |

its just an obsticle to prove that there the best in the league... every team has periods of injuries, but it'll just test them to see if they have what it takes to win. Its also giving the bench more oppertunity to proove their skills, not being under the shadow of a man who plays 30 minutes a game like pronger and neidermyer.. |

Beauchiman is also out with an injury. Anaheim will be looking for a defenseman - Brian Leetch is still out there, but I have heard he may sign with Atlanta. |

Still ouch
But it is possible to live without your spleen (well, usually, if you aren't predisposed to certain infections) |

Yeah well I hope Anaheim loses their next several games so Buffalo can lead the league again. I saw last night the Ducks had 62 points and the Sabres had 61. ONE POINT!!! So close... |

Yeah you can. Peter Forsberg hasn't had a spleen for a while now. |

Yup. Got it removed during Colorado's playoff run that saw Ray Bourque hoist the cup. |

The injuries on the ducks prove alot since they are in third place now. There isn't much depth to the team . A couple of good Dmen one good goalie and one solid line. im afraid that the depth they have now will not win the cup. Buffalo has several good lines and i think its their year. But i hope pronger gets better i think they are saying february now. |
