Meh screw it, the answer was like Nordiques said, he won the Art Ross having played on two different teams during the year (obviously Boston-San Jose). Ok here's a tough one:

The accomplishment of "50 goals in 50 games" is awarded to players who have scored 50 goals within their team's first 50 games. Five players so far have accomplished this feat (Gretzky x 3, Brett Hull x 2 and Lemieux, Richard and Bossy have each done it once) for a total of 8 times. But there have been "unofficial 50 in 50"s. What I mean by that is that 4 players in NHL history have scored 50 goals within THEIR first 50 games, but not within their team's first 50 games, not earning them the official designation of "50 in 50". One of these 4 did it twice, so my question is who did it twice and who are the other 3? They are all well-known players, so if you think you're digging too deep for a name, you probably are.

Nordiques, if you get these right on the first try, I'll know you're cheating!

I swear I haven't cheated on the lasts questions. I'm 33 yo and I've a very good idea of what happened in hockey from 1982 (or so) to present. I'm also participate in hockey pools with friends for over 15 years....

So, it takes names of good scorers (ie 70+ goals per year) and who are sometimes missing games....

The three names that came to my mind are: Selanne, Bure and Brett Hull.

Witch one had it 3 times??? I'm guessing Bure, but ... it's a pure guess.

Cam Neely is definately one, but I am not sure if he did it twice or not. I remember watching the game he did it.

For some other reason I am thinking Adam Graves, but that is a huge stretch.

And no, I did not look those up!

oups... i've misread your post... Brett Hull already there... so i'll place... Mogilny instead

and you said 2 times, not 3 times, but my guess will stay the same: Bure.

Haha Nordiques don't take what I said as an insult, I'm just that impressed that you've answered the questions so well! As for the responses so far:

-Cam Neely is one of them. He scored 50 goals in HIS 44th game, but it was Boston's 66th game. It is also the 3rd fastest 50 in NHL history behind Gretz (39, 42) and Lemieux (42). That is his only 50 in 50.

-Mogilny is also correct. He scored 50 in HIS 46th game of the 92-93 season, which was Buffalo's 53rd game. That is also his only 50 in 50.

Another hint: Just because a player scored a legitimate 50 in 50 doesn't mean he didn't score a/more than one "unoffcial" 50 in 50 as well. All of the other guesses were wrong.

2 more!

Neither of your combinations is correct, but one of the 4 players was. Make sure to identify which of the two did it twice. Keep guessing duos...

I'll give you the vague and probably obvious hint that neither player is still active.

Ok you're right on Lemieux. He did it twice. You're also right on Cam Neely but he was already correctly guessed!

One more (one player who did it only once)!

Yep, the fourth one was Jari Kurri. Continuting with the theme of trophies, but now for the President's trophy:

The President's trophy was first awarded in 1985-1986 to the Edmonton Oilers. Since then, it has been awarded every year (except 2005 due to the lockout) to the team who finishes the regular season with the best record, meaning it has been awarded exactly 20 times. My question is how many of those 20 teams went on to win the Stanley Cup in the same season? It might help you to know that NO team has ever done both in the same season MORE THAN ONCE, in other words every time this feat was accomplished, it was by a different team.

To bring this further, because this part isn't as hard, name the teams and the year you think they accomplished it.

No cheating

Oil, I honestly don't mind if you ask a question but how about we do one at a time, aiight? I'll make you a deal: I'll re-ask your question once mine has been completely answered. As for the guesses so far:

-New York in 1993-94 is correct.
-In 1987-88, it was Calgary who won the President's trophy, not Edmonton.
-Detroit is one of the teams and 1995-96 is a year they won the President's trophy but not one in which they won the Cup.

1 down, x number to go!

What about Pittsburgh in 91-92??

I am also thinking the Colorado did it in the late 90's. Not sure what year.

Maybe Dallas?? Can't remember what year either. Maybe 97

Dallas won the Cup in 99. Detroit, as I have said, in 97, 98 and 02. Colorado in 96 and 01. New Jersey had it 3 times: 95, 00 and 03, but I'm pretty sure they've never finished 1st overall in the season.

Ok putting everyone's guesses together:

Nordiques:
-Calgary in 1988-89 is correct, make them number 2.
-In 1996-97, it was Colorado who won the President's trophy, not Detroit.
-As a side note, you're right that NJ has never won the President's trophy.

Beans:
-Your final guesses were both correct;
-Dallas in 1998-99, make that number 3.
-Colorado in 2000-01, make that number 4.
-Pittsburgh did not win the President's trophy in 1991-92, NYR did.

Oil:
-Detroit in 2001-02 is correct, make that number 5.

Ok, there is only ONE left and a previous guess was very close.

There, that is correct. On to the next one, a rather easy one:

Which NHL player has won the scoring title the most consecutive years and what was his highest amount of goals scored in a year during that time?

well, you said that is an easy one... I don't know if is it as easy as I think...

I'll say Wayne Gretzky, from 80-81 to 85-86 (that means 6 years). I don't think Howe or anyone else have done better than that....

The difficult part is the number of goals scored... and that number is a record of the NHL. I know there are a year he put 215 pts and that isstill the record for the highest number of points in a year. But it wasn't that year he scored the highest number of goals... it was some season before, where he had, if my memory is good enough, 92 goals.

I am pretty sure it was before that, either Gordie Howe or Phil Esposito. I'll go with Espo. Number of goals?? Without looking it up I would guess 65??

Esposito actually got 76 goals one year. It was the record before Gretz go 92.

I have to say Wayne with 6 or 7 consecutive titles and he scored 92 goals in either 1981 or 1982 (212 pts)

The reason why i didn't put Esposito: during the years he was on top of scoring in the NHL, there were a guy named Bobby Orr who finished first in scoring too one year or two...

Hey guys, I took a little hiatus but the correct answer is Phil Esposito, 6 times and the most goals he scored was 76.

I'll be back soon with another question.
