Fred Shero did it in his 3rd year so it can't be him. Bob Pulford did it in his 3rd season too. It wasn't Bowman.
Hey, I think it was Don Cherry. I see he won it in his second year of coaching at the NHL level. Maybe that was his first full season.

Beans15 is correct...
Marc Crawford is the wrong answer to Q.#2.
He was a coach that won it in his first year, but he was not the first. Tom Watt was first. In fact Crawford was the fifth, who were the other three that won the Jack Adams before he did ?
