The NHL didn't start collecting the +/- stat until 1967-68. I checked a few obvious guys I could think of and here is what I found:

Gordie Howe +45
Mario Lemieux +55
Phil Esposito +76
Jari Kurri +76
Brian Trottier +76
Bobby Clarke +83
Guy Lafleur +89
Wayne Gretzky +98
Larry Robinson +120
Bobby Orr +124

Does anyone know if Orr holds the record?

Are these career stats or for one season?

Hey Ryan. These are their best single season records.

I was surprised that Lidstrom didn't even come close. His best was 43. I would have thought with his ice time, defensive capabilities, high scoring team mates, and strong goaltending that he would have been higher on the list.

Yes Bobby Or holds the record & it probably never be broken because the average today for the best is a round +45

That is pretty crazy +/- , it would be better if they did it the same as they used to so you could compare.
