| Vancouver! Wait is there a difference between who you want to win and who will actually win? I think this year is extremely hard to call as the powerhouses of each conference have questionable goaltending ( wash, chicago ) and we are all waiting to see if SJ can do something for once in the playoffs. I find this year really quite tough to call and since Van is my team I say they win. |

I surprised there aren't that many for Buffalo considering they have miller who single handedly brought the americans a silver, and they the best penalty killing out of all playoff teams,
If you compare them to new jersey the have better goaltending, offensive depth,defense and special teams, why for people think the devils are more likely to win the cup is a mystery to me. |

Well, i actually picked NJ to win it. A bit of an odd pick i'm sure to some, but i think Marty's got something to prove. I'm not sold on the goaltending in Chi or Wash as far as them going all the way.
As for Buffalo, i'm picking them to be upset in a tight first round series with Boston. It might not be long till i look like a fool i suppose! |

I like Washington and Vancouver to meet in the final, and I am picking the Caps to win it all this year - so no, I don't really think picking Vancouver is crazy at all.
For some reason, I just don't see either Pittsburgh or Detroit making the finals again. Lidstrom and Datsyuk are older and less effective for Detroit, and they have an unproven rookie goaltender. Malkin has had the quietest 80 point season ever and has not been the same player due to injuries, and they may not have the same fire as last year . . . although with Crosby, he could easily take them all on his back anyways. But against a stacked Washington team which has dominated the Pens this year, I doubt it.

Have some of my fellow 'Nucks fans flooded this poll? While i don't consider them a longshot, i wouldn't expect them to lead a poll like this if everyone is being honest and voting with their wallet and not their heart?

| It will be Chicago vs Buffalo for lord stanley.....Chicago will win it, but Buffalo is still very very due......Dallas should never have won the cup that year...it was bulls***. A team riding a hot goalie can go all the way...or at least to a game 7. Look at Calgary, or Edmonton. Kipper and Roli carried those teams...Miller is a way better goaltender than either. We shall see....WooHooo playoffs!! |

I'm hoping for my pools sake it will be a Hawks/Caps final with the Hawks going all the way. Hence I gave my vote the Hawks. Sorry Canucks fans, I wanted to vote for them but I don't think they'll get past the Hawks but it will be a hell of a series!!

I am starting to regret picking Washington . . . they have looked awful at times - disorganised, totally out of synch. Halak has played great, and Montreal in general has played how they have to have a chance of beating this club.
But even if Washington comes back, I have to say ) I have soured on them big time.
From the hockey I have seen so far, I feel very good about Vancouver's chances - but as we have clearly seen, things change game to game and anything can happen!
