So Moscow Dynamo is in trouble, if this team with its history and market place (Moscow) can't make it in the KHL, then the fear that the KHL will continue to steal NHL talent may come to an end.

Hudler's situation will be reason number 1 not to take a chance on big time KHL money. That's a warning to guys like Kovalchuk who may have thought of cashing in. Should've taken the $100 million from Atlanta...

This is one team of many. There is still literally Billions of dollars behind the many of the KHL teams.
The comment on Hudler coming back is just that. A comment. He can still sign with a different KHL team. |

One would have to think that Moscow is one of the larger hockey markets in Russia and surrounding area though.
I could be wrong, but I'm thinking it is. So I believe what guest is saying, is that if one of their top tier markets (due to population), etc... can't survive, can the others for long?

From what the article said, it has everything to do with the owners, not the fans. And, its a different style of fans in Europe and Russia in general.
For example, one of the best soccer clubs in Poland, Legia Warszawa, fans that belong to the fanclub have issues with ownership and boycott games from time to time.
So with bad ownership, all sorts of things could happen, especially if they anger the wrong part of the fanbase, such as the extremist portion, or if they mismanage finances.
I don't know the situation exactly in Dynamo Moscow hockey club, but if the owners aren't doing things right, then the club could falter financially or otherwise even with a strong fanbase. |

Leagues want stability, it is common sense. Moscow having trouble?? This is a show of instability. The KHL looks worse because of this show of instability.
