Mine would obviosly be the Manitoba Moose because since we lost the Jets the Moose is all we've had here in Winnipeg.. The Moose arena is sold out every game and we are more exstatic when our team scores then some NHL arena's! If you go to a game then you will understand that the mood in the arena is incredible!!
Winnipeg native myself, so it's obviously the Moose as well... All I have here is the MooseHEADS of the QMJHL and well the level of excitement about them is proportionate to the amount of a Moose it actually represents.
I've been in Halifax for almost 6 years and since then have only flown back to see one Moose game at the MTS Centre and man it was just amazing. Not to mention it's the nicest arena I've ever seen.
I miss Winnipeg . If they get an NHL team back, I swear to God I'd move back in an instant.
The Bulldogs because they are the Habs AHL team. Also babs, why do you not like the Halifax Mooseheads? I love wathching them play. I will even watch them on Eastlink, well of course its muted!
I don't have anything against them, it's just that it's not even close to the same thing as having an NHL team. There was so much more excitement about the team, the games were always full of people... Even the small things like fans would always stand up and applaud (and most would also cheer) whenever a Jet scored, here it's just nod in approval and clap twice.
Definetely The Mosse because I live around Winnipeg and I usually go to there games. Paul Kariya's little brother Steve used to play on The Moose also.
Just a note: a good percent of the favourites, the ones that get a lot of media attention, are Canadian. AHL... you sure?
There are Canadians in the American Hockey League, Americans in the Canadian Hockey League, Russians in the Swedish league, and Europeans in the NHL, just to name a few. The nationalities have never matched the namings....unless maybe we're talking about the Turkish national team (yes there is such a thing), where all the players are likely from Turkey. There are only 2 ice rinks in the entire country of Turkey! That's gotta suck.

o man go moose im so sad that the we lost the jets ur right the mood is just amazing there the moose lost some reall good players to the canucks though this year
its not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the fight in the dog GO FLAMES!! WOOO
I really like two teams in the AHL. My favorites being the Toronto Marlies and our home town Hamilton Bulldogs. The problem I have with the Dogs is that sweater I have come to dislike almost since birth. When the two play I usually find myself rooting for the Marlies subconsciously almost and then come away feeling guilty inside because the Bulldogs are our own team. Last season was easy after the playoffs started and I cheered on the Carey Price Bulldogs all the way to the Memorial Cup despite the Hab uniforms!!!!!!
That's not fair that they got rid of the St. John's Maple Leafs
The reason is Mr Ferguson wanted more people in attendance. Again, a selfish businessman taking over a great hoceky tradition. BOOO.
Kipper for Lundqvist?
Its not (or wasn't) a selfish move at all. The timezone affected the player when they were caled up or demoted, so placing a team in the same timezone is a smart thing to do. Plus, because every ticket for Leafs games are sold out, the Marlies are good hockey for affordable pricing. I was recently at the Marlies-Bulldogs game. It was a good game.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Second would be the Hershey Bears since they are the regional tem where I now live and I have been to a few of their games.
Marlies all the way baby. Our boy Tlusty is tearing s*** up, anyone see his 5 goal game? Tim Stapleton is also wayyy better than I thought he would be. I just hope Pogge can take them deep in the playoffs this year.
There is no "I" in team, but there is an "M" and an "E".
My Favorite team is the Leafs so obviously for a fav AHL team my heart goes with the Marlies

Moose because they have the best AHL goalie. (not because they are the Canucks farm team)

The Peoria Rivermen because my buddy plays for them haha even though I live in Vancouver and have never got to see him play in the A. The 32 hour road trip will happen one day though, one day!
I'd have to say the Moose, but just because it's the Canucks farm team, so I have some awareness of who plays there. I'd still like to get out to an Abbotsford Heat game too...
The Toronto Marlies for me, but I like most of the teams in the AHL. I think the majority of teams does a good job compared to the NHL where some teams spend a lot of money and have little success. My favorite NHL team are the Buffalo Sabres just because they have many young players and I enjoy watching their games on TV.
