Poll Question:
Okay Lecavalier just had sucessful surgery on his hand but he's out 4 to 5 weeks. I'm looking to make a trade on him but not sure who to trade for him. Here's a look at the players available, who would you pick?

I would take Evander Kane or Koivu . . . but with this caveat:
Lecavlier could easily recover from this injury and get the same amount of points or more in a shorter amount of time than both of these guys. It really depends how much you think the hand injury will effect him more long term . . . it's a risk. Both Kane or Koivu might get 55 points, but Lecavalier with the injury time off could get 60.
I'd almost keep Lecavalier here, but I voted Koivu because he's been having great chemistry with the ageless Selanne.

I voted Williams. He's quietly putting together a very productive season on a young Kings team which seems to score a lot! I wouldn't have a prob dropping Lecavalier, esp after the slow start he's had. |

Keep him if you will, I would take Stoll or Skinner. Stoll is guarenteed to get points likely 50-60(give or take 5) while Skinner even with a great start could get anywhere from 30-90. If you are in a rough spot and are losing in the pool badly get Skinner, if you are in the top area of the pool take Stoll he is the safe choice.

I'm winnning the pool but they are gaining ground QUICK, I have Markov and Lecavalier both injured and it seems like Markov could be done for the season. I'm not too sure about skinner, he plays with Cole and rarely with Staal and is quite streaky, and i'm not crazy about Carolina either. Right now I'd have to go with Williams or keep him because I only have 2 trades left and I'm probably going to use one on Markov and save one for later. |

Williams is pretty safe. The other guy i like who's upside may be higher but overall he could be a little riskier, is Bergfors. |

Looking at all the possibles, I'd go Tanguay. Of the list he is the closest to a point a game player career wise. All the others are hot now, but haven't produced cosistantly at the pace of points Tanguay has, although most of your list is playing hot now. #2 I'd say possibly MacArthur who is impressing the hell out of me, on a crappy team with Major points. |
