Brashear got a one year $1 million extension. Good move by the Caps. When will the Penguins get themselves a Brashear for Crosby?

They despretly need a bodyguard for Sid. Brasher must like this but I bet Ovie is even more happy.

Notice how you never see highlights of Ovechkin getting speared or run at. Sidney needs to be protected. Its that simple. Some may not like it but he is not only the future of the Pens but the future of the NHL and he needs a McSorely/Semenko.

How you say...Georges Laraque? The Pens should trade Ryan Malone for him. With big Georges around, I bet Sid would never get speared again, or looked at sideways for that matter

Ya I really dont get why they are staaling on this (get it).

Crosby is not the only one they will have to worry about either. Malkin, Staal, Fleury, and Letang in a few years.

Go out and get Laraque. His presence will deter anyone from taking a poke at these superstars. And I know many of you will start calling Sid a baby but why is it that every other league protects its superstars and the NHL lets them get abused on a nightly basis?

To have a guy for Sid, you almost want to have him on the same line. If I were the GM in Pittsburg I would look for a guy like Todd Fedoruk. He played well with Selanne in Anahiem. He can at least keep up on the line. He might not be a Laroque type of fighter, but he will go at anyone.

I heard the rumor they were looking at him too.

It's good to have a bodyguard for Ovechkin, but he's a pretty big guy he could probably handle it himself if he really needed to.
