Watching the Edm, - TO game and noticed when they showed a segment on Torres' physical play that his stick was up around head level in every clip. So then I watched him for the next period. I don't know if he knows what his stick is for. It was rarely on the ice. I believe it'll only be a matter of time before he severely injures someone. Takes out an eye or crushes a windpipe or something. A**hat!

Wow. I not often say that I agree with Willus, but I strongly agree with him here. Many people in Edmonton feel that Raffi Torres is a great player and changes a game with his physical play. I say he is dangerous and stupid about his physical play. BIG TIME.
He's a total Meatball! (Right Mik??)

I like him as a player, he is a physical presence and needs to play as such to be effective. But yes he needs to keep his stick on the ice.

Fellow Canucks fan, tell me that you noticed how he cost the Oil the game against Vancouver last week. Not once, but twice he took a bone headed after the play penalty to give Vancouver a two man advantage, and twice the Canucks scored powerplay goals. The momentum swaye din Vancouvers favour from there on and Raffi should have been sitting on the bench as it was his fault.
As for his high stick, I watched the game and noticed it as well. He definitely needs to keep it down.

And he can score?? When did this happen. How does 28 points in 59 games make him a scorer?? That's a point every two games!
He's a meatballs, is dangerous, and takes far too many stupid penalties. |

Whatever its his style, choice and thats why he's playing in the NHL. Im not saying he's good but I don't mind him. The NHL is turning into the National Homo League for p****'s. |

I see. So you think it's ok to play without regard for anyone else's safety. You probably feel knee on knee hits and hits from behind should be legal as well. Physical play is absolutely a part of the game, but within the rules. Torres is a fringe NHL'er at best. It will be tragic when he takes out an eye, ruining a better player's career. |
